Our visions, values and ethos
Colton Vision
Colton Primary School is dedicated to achieving excellence, ensuring every child is happy, polite and ready to learn.
We share an ethos of kindness where everyone can be successful, and the needs of the whole child are at the centre of our inclusive environment. We aim to develop resilient, inquisitive learners who achieve their highest potential through an enriched, purposeful curriculum.
Our ‘Curriculum For Life’ aims to be relevant, exciting and memorable. We want the children to leave Colton Primary School as ambitious, independent learners who are confident enough to ask questions of themselves and others. Our pupils learn to be good citizens, to respect others and that they can make a valuable positive contribution in our rapidly changing world.
Colton Primary School chose to join the Red Kite Learning Trust in November 2018 and we enjoy working together to provide an outstanding education for all our children.
Colton Values
Our school is committed to upholding the principles of our code: Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Respectful.
These values form the foundation of our community and guide the conduct of all our students and staff.
-
Be Ready – We encourage preparation, responsibility, and a proactive approach to learning, ensuring that students are equipped to succeed in all aspects of school life.
-
Be Safe – We prioritise the well-being of every individual by fostering a secure and supportive environment where everyone feels protected and cared for.
-
Be Respectful – We promote dignity, kindness, and mutual understanding, valuing diversity and creating a culture where all voices are heard and respected.
