Parents/Carers

We strive to ensure that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.
Our main priority is to ensure children are safe and are happy. As a parent/carer If you do have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us or speak to one of our designated safe guarding leads who will be able to provide you with the best advice. There is always a member of staff on the gate at the beginning and end of the day who are happy to help, if you do wish to speak to anyone.
Our school is part of Operation Encompass, a national partnership between schools and the police.
This means that if a child has been exposed to domestic abuse, the police will inform the school before the next school day, so we can provide timely support.
In line with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and the Victims and Prisoners Act 2024, children who experience domestic abuse are recognised as victims and schools are required to receive this information.
A trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) acts as the key adult, ensuring information is handled confidentially and used to support the child’s wellbeing.
