Activities running across Leeds this summer holiday for children and families
On Friday 4 July 2025, Red Kite Learning Trust brought together colleagues from across its 16 schools, Central Team and Red Kite Education, to participate in its Make a Difference Day, a full day of professional development, inspiration, and collaborative learning.

I am sure you will agree this has been an excellent half term. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their learning and have had lots of fun.

This term, our Youth Board met up to discuss rewilding initiatives, Trust-wide sustainability, improving attendance and ideas for future meeting agendas.
We have had a fantastic autumn term with lots of brilliant things going on. Last week, we had wonderful Christmas performances

Thank you to everyone who attended the Parents and Carers Consultations. It was wonderful to see so many of you and to share the successes of the term so far.
As part of celebrating the diversity of our community and our Religious Education
curriculum, we have been teaching the children about Diwali - a festival celebrating the triumph of light over darkness enjoyed by millions of people of Hindu, Sikh and Jain
faiths.
This week the children have been celebrating Harvest Festival and learning about firework safety.
Red Kite Learning Trust are holding a Recruitment Open Day where you can find out more about current teaching and operational career opportunities available across our Trust.
We would like to extend an extra special welcome to our new families, joining reception, nursery and higher up school too. We have had a great start to the new term and the children have settled back into school very well.

As we come towards the end of the term, and this academic year, I would like to thank all our parents and carers for their support over the year. I would also like to thank the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to make sure we provide the best education we can for all our children.
In this year’s report we have chosen to celebrate the successes of our schools, communities, colleagues, and young people by telling some of the stories from across our Trust.
Our Summer programme includes activities and events co-ordinated and led by TNCP and local partner organisations.
This term has gone so fast, we are not sure how we managed to fit everything in! I would like to say a huge well done to all the children in Year 2 and Year 6 for successfully completing the national tests known as SATS
Y2 and Y5 went to visit Temple Newsam and had a brilliant time experiencing ‘real life’ history through handling artefacts and getting dressed up.
We raised an amazing amount for Simon on the Streets, we would like to thank all the parents who were involved.
